Review on Kuretake FUDE PEN NIHON-DATE KABURA: Double-sided, Black Brush Tip Pen for Calligraphy, Art, Writing - Made in Japan by Wendy Rodriguez

Great for art!

Funny how I seem to be the only one who got this for drawing and not for calligraphy. Oops! I already drew my drawing with a fine tip and it dried very quickly. No blemishes, and I'm very gracious with the watercolor paper I use (some ink sticks show through with even the slightest touch). So it worked immediately and smoothly. In addition, the brush tip is durable, allowing you to control your actions. The brush tip is ideal for calligraphy and strong shading. Very damp - so it doesn't dry quickly (Batman art has blemishes from not letting it dry properly). My hands are already stained with ink, but washed off with water. The black ink is darker than other ink pens I have which is great. It's a large pen compared to my other art supplies, but it's very comfortable to hold. It doesn't feel heavy either. The instructions on the back even show that you can stack the caps inside each other so you don't lose them. This is useful! I'll be buying more in the future and maybe I'll get into kanji calligraphy at some point because the thick brush tip is good for it. Quick thoughts: • 5/5 stars without a doubt. • Great price and fast delivery. • I recommend this product 100% for calligraphy and ink painting • On a thicker brush: leave to dry long enough so that it doesn't smear all over the body • Light and easy to use. Hope that helps!
