If I were in a shoe store and trying them on, after a few steps I would take them off and keep looking. I really didn't like how they felt at first. Came too high in the back and just didn't feel right on my heel. Since I already had them at home, I carried them on. I'm glad I did! Now I don't even notice and they feel great when I wear them. I am not a runner and will not run in it. I ordered them to wear around the house and on the occasional outing. I've been known to forget to change my slippers when I go outside. I don't feel stupid when I put them on now. They are great indoors or out. They have great traction. Now I am very happy with them. Yes, I am very picky. You are doing exactly what I wanted.
