Review on Petmate Reflective Breakaway Collar 8 Inch by Mikey Somerville

I bought a collar from this brand for my cat a few years ago. I wanted to get one that was "tearable" for security reasons. My cat got out once and got lost for several months. When he returned the collar caught and WILL NOT come off. It stayed in place even as he slipped his front forearm through it. Wearing it like this for several months when he got lost, it tore through his skin and burrowed into his flesh. When he got home, the surgery to fix the wound cost us $3,800, not to mention the vet visits. DO NOT buy this collar for your cat.
