my machine runs fine when loaded. I had no problems with it falling apart or breaking. However, reloading labels is a daunting task and replacing an ink cartridge is a disastrous mess. I have to say that the original ink cartridge lasted for about 15 rolls of labels. However, since the print started to lighten a bit, I decided to change the ink. The ink cartridge is difficult to get to and once I did, my fingers were covered in ink. It is very difficult to get this cartridge. I had to pry it out with a letter opener. Put on rubber gloves if you don't want your hands to be covered in ink and place a piece of paper under where you are working as this will get very dirty.
