Yes - it's so perfect. My grandson has developmental issues which these has helped so much. Speech therapy loves it too. We hold the yellow star up to our mouth and say "STAR" and then "toss" it to him - this encourages him to say "star' - or say "Yellow Star" - tossing it creates a knee-jerk reaction for your baby/child to respond and it's exciting for them see it tossed and where they can "toss" it back.
