VHS Tape to DVD Performance

I bought this to convert old VHS to DVD. He did exactly what I needed. You can set it to pick up and leave. There are options to add chapters and titles to the DVD before finalizing it. The user interface isn't as simple as a computer software, but that's to be expected when using the remote control. It also has a handy automatic chapter skip feature. In fact, our VHS tapes contain many different events. There is usually some kind of static or blank screen between events. The auto chapter feature marks them as the beginning/end of chapters. When it comes to video quality, there are several options. Higher quality options result in shorter recording time (e.g. 1 hour, 2 hours, 2.5 hours, 3 hours). I usually use the 2-2.5 hour options as our VHS tapes are less than 2-2.5 hours long. The tapes are of such poor quality that you cannot tell any difference between the highest quality recording mode and the 2-2.5 hour recording mode. You can probably even use a lower quality, I didn't because I wanted to convert 1 tape to 1 DVD. So you can probably get 2 tapes onto a DVD with no loss of quality. Also, there weren't any audio issues that I've had with other methods I've tried. I used to have a connector and software to connect VHS to my computer. It was a lot more expensive and after recording I came back and the audio didn't match the video, usually around 45 minutes on DVD (it was delayed).
