Review on Dimora Foam Dressing, PHMB 7 Days Sustained Steriel 4"X4" Wound Dressing Pads 5 Times Fast Protection Non-Adhesive Non-Border, 15 Times Ultra Absorbent Padding 10 Pack by Kenneth Foster

Revainrating 5 out of 5

An excellent quality, latex-free, borderless PHMB foam dressing with a variety of uses …

These PHMB foam dressings are a good size to have on hand or in a First Aid kit. These can be used to cover anything from a cut or abrasion to a weeping wound. They can be used in a medical facility or on the home front. These are specifically targeted to cover and protect wounds while encouraging healing. Obviously, they are a one-time use bandage, but will need another secondary wrap to secure them. Each bandage has 0.5%(w/w) Polyhexamethylene Biguanide (PHMB) in it. On each bandage as well the outside of the box there’s a lot number, manufacturing date, and an expiration date. These can be stored for two to three years before they start to lose their effectiveness.FEATURES:• Latex-Free• Antimicrobial• Ultra-Soft and Absorbent• USP SterileDIMENSIONS:4” x 4” (10.2cm x 10.2cm) w / foam coreShelf Life: 3+ YearsCERTIFICATIONS:None listed.Manufactured in China.

Pros
  • SAFE WOUND PADS: Sterile, single-use dressings, the polyurethane foam contain about 0.5% (w/w) Polyhexamethylene Biguanide (PHMB), an agent that is intended to resist bacilli colonization within the dressing.
Cons
  • May expire quickly or lose effectiveness if not stored properly
