Good idea, nice, but the medallion has become small

This was a gift for my daughter for Mother's Day. As much as I love loving it because it's unique and special with her family photos, it was smaller than I thought it would be and the pictures came out a little darker. The locket is beautiful, the chain turned out a little thinner than I had hoped. I wanted something heavier and more durable. They offered to replace it with a new one but I just left this item as it took forever to get here. I bought another locket from the same seller for my mum and it was beautiful, the chain was thicker, I was very happy with it, don't know what's wrong with it.
