I've tried many cases over the years of owning an iPad. Some were just rubbish. Some didn't fit even though the manufacturer said my iPad model would fit. Some had terrible materials. Others just looked ugly, even if they were protective. This case is exactly like the last one I had on the 5th gen iPad. Cute in design, it has a flexible and protective interior that you can slip your iPad into (without the effort of putting it in or taking it out) and the iPad STAYS in. No corners fall out when you pick it up or use it. It has a magnetic closure that turns the iPad off when the lid is closed, and is great for placing the iPad at an angle on your lap or table. It doesn't have a pen holder or access to connect a keyboard. (You have to delete it) I don't have it either, so it's not a problem for me. I cannot stress enough how well this will hold your iPad. As I said, the last case I had was made exactly like this and when I took my iPad to have it replaced at the Apple Store the clerk remarked that it came out of the box like new. If you just like your iPad with nothing on it, this isn't for you. If you're looking for a really strong lid, this is it. As for the design on the cover, I have no idea how it would keep rubbing against something else in the box or purse. It seems to me that it's quite well done as long as you don't misuse your electronic devices. (I'm talking about you people with broken screens on phones etc. from falling a few feet onto the cement.) I don't use a computer, laptop or anything like that. I live with my iPad at least 6 hours a day so I want it to be protected. It's like a cute little thin book. Oh, and all the holes line up right where they need to be. I think it's very good value for money. And I'm picky.
