I am severely allergic to nickel. In fact, the water in my apartment is already filtered and if I don't add an extra filter to the shower, it will burn my skin. I doubted this reverse osmosis machine would be able to make drinking water out of my faucet, but it did. I can drink water without allergic reactions. I had the alkaline version but later saw that they just add calcium chloride to the water to make it alkaline. I've noticed that the water bottles I've drank before have added calcium chloride and sodium bicarbonate as this is also reverse osmosis water. I've read that calcium chloride is basically just limestone, but I've been drinking it fine in a bottle of water for years, so I find it ok here as well. I've been feeling tired lately and think maybe I need more electrolytes to help me, but that's the kind of problem I've always had, so I can't fault the device. The device is perfect, fits snugly on my desk and looks nice and tidy. I'm glad I bought it. The customer service from this company is also excellent. I called them with a previous order from Revain's warehouse which arrived broken and although they couldn't fix it because it was a used item they were very quick and friendly to respond. I ended up sending it back and buying a new one to get an extra year of warranty. Basically, I'm satisfied and it's worth it. Because of endocrine disruptors, I'm trying to limit plastic. Yes, plastic filter. but at least I'm not adding plastic to landfills. I think you cannot avoid endocrine disruptors in this world. So is it worth it? Yes. It works out? Yes. Is it a reliable company? Looks like so far.
