Works great out of the box. Installation was easy and straightforward. Insert the CD and wait while the installer prompts you to connect the adapter. I've had no trouble connecting to any of the machines I've installed this on. I'm a computer engineer and they're great for replacing a failed laptop adapter, especially in cases where it's difficult to get to the built-in adapter. Once plugged in, it's unobtrusive and can stay plugged into your USB port without fear of snagging your bag when you're transporting your laptop. I always like to have it on hand when a customer calls with a laptop having connectivity issues. .
