overall works like a dead cat. Worked on my Rhode Go mic shotgun (cheaper version) and my Boya shotgun which is "lower" so it helps reduce wind noise. Wind noise may come from behind where the minijack is connected to the microphone. I've found that pulling and stretching the cat back as far as possible and fluffing it up from behind helps. Did what I needed. It's not just about the microphone, but then you need a zeppelin and a full dead cat. The price for equipping two digital SLR cameras for $20 was on top of that.
