Works great, the mic stand on my son's camera was a bit big but after a little tweaking it works great! For the price it couldn't be better.

Fits over the RODE foam that holds the microphone; Big. Just gently apply it to the foam and squeeze to slide it into the chamber. I work outside so I don't know why the mic doesn't come with the dead cat anyway.

Deadcat is very useful and eliminates a lot of background noise that you can hear when recording videos. I recently shot a video of an ice cream truck and before filming all you could hear was the truck's engine. So I was a bit nervous at first, but when I listened to the playback I couldn't hear the engine at all. Good product

I've used this a few times with my Rode VideoMic Here are the problems: 1) It doesn't cover the mic completely like the Rode VideoMic Go Photo by this one and others dead cats. That brings me to point 2.2) Even the slightest wind will ruin the frame when I use this. It almost seems worse. Completely inefficient. Hope I can still get my money back.

overall works like a dead cat. Worked on my Rhode Go mic shotgun (cheaper version) and my Boya shotgun which is "lower" so it helps reduce wind noise. Wind noise may come from behind where the minijack is connected to the microphone. I've found that pulling and stretching the cat back as far as possible and fluffing it up from behind helps. Did what I needed. It's not just about the microphone, but then you need a zeppelin and a full dead cat. The price for equipping two digital SLR cameras for
