I can't tell from the ad how deep the weave is. I was expecting it to be a smaller weave for the intended purpose I had in mind which was my yoga space. This is not the type of rug for saluting the sun or sitting for meditation purposes. Either way it's too gnarly for my butt lol. However, don't let what I've said confuse you. Seagrass fibers are smooth, not rough. It's just that I have diabetic feet that are very sensitive to deep tissues and standing barefoot on this carpet would be too heavy for me. However, it is beautiful and would look great in my hallway or under my small dining table and chairs. It seems easy to shake off and seems easy to clean. This is a beautiful and high quality product and I will keep it. The processing is excellent!
