Review on Razer BlackWidow (2019) Black USB Gaming Keyboard Razer Green / Clicky by Stanislaw Was ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Just super, the product is made wonderfully, very satisfied.

I love how Razer separated their Ultimate Blackwidow from this one. In this one, only everything you need was left: just a relatively compact backlit keyboard, no stands for you, USB hubs and headphone outputs, heaps of thick wires and other things. Just a keyboard and that's it. As I said, it copes with its tasks perfectly, and I really like it. Has pros: I have used a lot of mechanical keyboards with different switches. I work as a proger, I write a lot of code. Razer is my favorite. Worked also with old versions of this keyboard: 2022 and 2022 respectively. 1) Extremely comfortable switches branded from Razer. The manufacturer says that the keys are even more reliable than their competitors in terms of click resource (80+ million clicks versus 50 million). They are a cross between Cherry MX Brown and Cherry MX Blue, inheriting the best from both. They are soft, like brown, yet tactile with a click, like blue. The actuation point is, in my opinion, a little lower than on the MX Blue, which is undoubtedly a plus. My typing speed has increased significantly. It can be seen that the keyboard really gets better from year to year. On older versions, there were actually Cherry MX Blue clones with all the consequences (hard, loud, albeit pleasant for printing). 2) The backlight is good. The truth is good. The brightness is adjusted very precisely, there are actually 16 million colors. The effects are set up in general as you like, you can arrange entire light shows. I've been fed up with the bright single color glows on competing products, the Blackwidow is a breath of fresh air. In the regular version of 2022, there is no backlight at all, you should have taken Ultimate. Due to Synapse, you can drag the backlight settings to all computers. 3) Compact enough for a full size, easy to drag and drop and doesn't take up much desk space. At the same time, there is no feature that infuriates me when the keys stick out, stand right on the edge of the keyboard, causing a lot of accidental clicks, there is a bordering plastic. Neighboring products either do not have it, or there is a lot of it, the keyboard takes up a LOT of space on the table (either a stand or something else). Big respect to the creators for keeping the balance. In general, there are quite a lot of advantages, I can not enumerate. I wanted a good mechanical keyboard without frills - I got it, it copes with the declared functions. Cons: 1) The backlight is certainly good, but it doesn’t work without the Razer Synapse program. People from under Linux will have to look at a pulsating rainbow :) It is possible that there are some custom drivers for Linux, I managed to find such drivers for the previous keyboard from Roccat without any problems. Synapse, by the way, eats RAM quite well. 2) Expensive. I took somewhere for 8 thousand in the spring of 2022. For 4-6 thousand it would be just space
