First impressions after purchase were encouraging. The headset construction feels pretty solid, decent padding, nice crisp clicks when adjusting the headband, and the included onboard controller includes plenty of jacks for USB, audio jacks, and analog AV jacks, allowing you to connect audio to basically any device . However, once you put it in your head, all those pluses go away. The headset is quite stiff and uncomfortable with padding that's stiffer than desired and will likely cause pain after hours of gaming but poorer sound quality. The drivers in the headset are horrifically cheap, with a truly awful tinny sound that barely lacks bass and struggles with highs that sound metallic and robotic. The mic also sounds worse, if anything, than the drivers in the headset, with a tone so flat and tinny you could convince me I was listening to an old '80s radio recording without batting an eyelid. You just want to put a piece of a souvenir tattoo on a shelf to commemorate the game. It might be worth it if you can find them for next to nothing. However, if you use your headphones for competitive gaming, or even just regular music and YouTube, stay away. They just sound brutal.
