I bought this camera for my 3 year old nephew. It didn't take long for him to learn how to take photos, and the sound the camera made when taking photos inspired him. what he did. He enjoyed running, constantly pressing the button and pointing it at people from time to time. A waterproof case protected the camera from moisture, but at that age it was a problem for his little finger. The button on the camera was harder to press and he had a lot of trouble with it. This is definitely something an older child will have no problem with. There were extra buttons on the back that he kept pressing. Image playback button, settings. It would be nice if I could disable those buttons until he gets older. Image quality left a lot to be desired. Images are blurry when you open them on a computer, although they look fine on a small screen. The blur didn't happen because the child took the picture, it also happened when I took it.
