It's expensive for what it is but there aren't many alternatives and they're just as expensive. The device is well assembled and feels solid. It's not used often so it's probably overkill, but I'm sure it will still work in a few years when I have to take it apart again to recalibrate. I had a small error in the instructions when adjusting my tire size options. The device will prompt you to turn the key to the "on" position several times during the calibration. I understood that this means starting the engine. I went through all the steps and my speedometer stopped working and my fault lights came on including the check engine light on the dash. I tried several times and couldn't figure it out, so I called 1-800 support in the owner's manual. They called 3 times, a real person picked up the phone and was able to help. When it says turn it on, just turn the key 2 clicks and stop. Do not start the engine. The technician said he gets a lot of calls about it. So one star deducted for the incomprehensible instructions and straight back for the excellent technical support. Overall I would buy again.
