This item not only stopped working, it caught fire during use less than 90 days after purchase. I dried my hair with a hair dryer. I turned it off, then I smelled burnt. When I turned it back on, nothing happened and I heard a very dull, low hum. I reset the button to see if it comes back. When it was turned on, the hum continued and the engine caught fire, flames could be seen inside. I would not recommend buying this product.
