Purchased AutoLine Pro EVAP Vacuum Automotive Smoke Detector Diagnostic Tester (Automatic). My car had trouble starting and I had a code reader that showed too much air/gas mixture. I'm looking for hoses for a leak in the bucket. I could take the car to a mechanic who would ask $100 (probably more) or diagnose myself with a smoke machine to buy a little more and hope it was the hose I missed and I did made the purchase. No problems with the machine but I read the brief assembly instructions carefully as misuse can damage the machine. Do not run the machine for more than 10 minutes as instructed in the instructions. It's getting very hot. However, it didn't take me more than 3 minutes to find the problem areas. I didn't realize (maybe it was said somewhere in the ad) that I need to use an air compressor, but I have one so it's not a problem. While the instructions say you can go as high as 100psi, you only need to go as high as 20-30psi. I don't think you should go above 30psi, but I'm no mechanic. I managed to find two problem areas. One repair will take me some time and the other is a simple part (Exhaust Gas Recirculation Valve). Self diagnosing and replacing the EGR valve definitely saved me on the cost of the car.
