I guess I am of the school that one can never have enough adapters, and never enough different sizes, configurations, and colors. So, these added to my collection wide, black adapters that two can fit one over the other onto a double outlet wall receptacle. The thing is, in the modern world, there are more and more things to be plugged into each outlet, and many of them do not use very much power, so you are not overloading the circuit--LED lamps, phone chargers, laptops, floor fans, etc., etc. Adding power strips or surge protector strips is unsightly overkill in most places, beyond your computer/printer area or media area. So, not for overloading a circuit with toaster ovens and floor heaters, but convenient when there are simply not enough outlets, and unobtrusive, too, against a darker background.
