Review on ๐Ÿšด SLS3 Top Tube AERO Bag Small: Ultimate Triathlon Pouch for Bike Fuel and Secure Phone Storage by Chris Hazzard

Revainrating 3 out of 5

I want to give this bag a five star rating but.

With one exception, this bag is perfect in every way. This is exactly the size I was looking for to carry some repair tools that wouldn't fit in my under saddle burrito bag (mini pump, two CO2 canisters, CO2 pump, plus ID, credit card and cash). The Velcro straps are extra long so they fit any size top and head tube and can be cut to any size you need for your bike (more on that in a moment). The straps fix the bag well because their position on the bag is adjustable (and stay in a new place after moving). The bag is durable and has a high-quality zipper. So what's stopping me from giving it a five star rating? On the front of the bag there are two flaps with Velcro to attach the bag to the bike's steering column. Problem? On the bag I received, the velcro is centered on one of the flaps (as it should be) but sewn to the bottom edge of the other flap; and stitched crookedly to make it worse. To secure the velcro, I had to deform the off-center flap to align the velcro, resulting in a misaligned, bulging mess. Unfortunately, I didn't notice the manufacturing defect until I cut the straps. Now I can't return the bag.

Pros
  • Bike Bag Accessory
Cons
  • Not as thick as other models
