<Second edit> I've downgraded my rating to one star now. Less than 2 months after buying this fountain, he suddenly poured all the water on the bookshelf it was standing on. First the LEDs stopped working and now the full water charge is gone. Note that this was not a well overflow and a slight overflow; The fountain spontaneously poured every drop of water onto the bookshelf, drenching the DVDs on the shelf directly below. Given both of these incidents, I have to withdraw my recommendation and instead suggest avoiding this fountain entirely. <Edit> I find it necessary to edit my previous five star rating of this fountain. Three weeks after I received the fountain, the LEDs stopped working. Typically, LEDs last between 2,000 and 100,000 hours; they died after only 504 hours. So I lowered my rating to three stars. <Original> I wanted a desktop fountain that looks like a rocky waterfall, no buddha, no steps, no fish ladder, just rocks with a waterfall and it's perfect. I couldn't be happier with it, it's exactly what I was looking for. Installation couldn't be easier. It comes with an instruction manual that will walk you through how to assemble the motor, but don't worry, it comes fully assembled. The LEDs were already present and correctly connected. All I had to do was unpack it, attach a plastic tube to the motor, place the motor in the waterfall and add distilled water. I didn't measure how much water I put in, you just want to make sure it doesn't overflow into either the lower or upper basin. I plugged it in and after a short wait for the pump to start pumping water it worked great. The whole process took only ten minutes after I opened the shipping box. The fountain is on one of my bookshelves in the living room and fits perfectly. It measures 10.5 inches high, 7 inches wide and 5 inches deep.
