Review on Cuisinart Stainless Steel Measuring Spoons - Set of 4: Accurate and Durable Kitchen Measurements by Renee Warren

Bought this Cuisinart CTG-00-SMP stainless steel measuring spoon set thinking it would make a good replacement for a set I had years ago. Without going into too much detail, let's just say they don't quite live up to the legendary Cuisinart standard.◆ Issues: Look at the photo of these spoons. You will see that part of the spoon is made of polished stainless steel. They are actually brushed stainless steel. Luckily, they pass the "magnetic test," meaning they're actually made of steel, not aluminum. Also featured in the product image are spoons with engraved handles showing the Cuisinart name, as well as metric and US kitchen sizes. On the product actually received, both the dimensions and the logo are printed in black. The specs say they should be "dishwasher safe" but based on past experience with other kitchen products the paint is dishwasher safe so I'm sticking with hand washing. Your rating may differ from mine, but here's what: ▪ Features: 4 stars; Sizes US kitchen standards and metric ▪ Design: 2 stars; rough, not well made, as in the product photos ▪ Value: 3 stars; subjective, but you can probably improve your search a bit. This averages out to an overall rating of 3 stars, meaning they're ok but no better. ◆ Additional Notes: I first saw these balls in the cheese fondue video here on Revain, and you'll see them at around 0:10 in this free short video. Perhaps if I had read some of the product reviews more carefully before ordering Cuisinart Stainless Steel Measuring Spoons, I might not have written this review. And it's remarkable that 88% of those are 5-star reviews. They cost a little more, but it's not hard to figure out what this reviewer is going to buy after the black paint on my Cuisinart spoons wears off.
