I bought these primarily to protect a wall in front of a door in a front loading washing machine. They work great for this purpose. The large diameter of nearly 2 inches combined with the cushioning properties of the silicone is great for dissipating the energy of a door impact without damaging the wall (or door). Scratches are visible on the wall near the washing machine door. The photos were taken before the installation of this wall protection. The door does not hit the wall at all and does not damage it. I've also used them to protect a door that can hit another door if both are open. I used a few more of these to protect another door from a lot of pressure being put on it by a small doorstop as that door wasn't balanced. After installation, there is no more strong pressure on the wood. In all of the above cases, this product works perfectly. There were no problems with the adhesive properties of these wall protection films. They immediately stuck to the surface of the wall (or door) with ease, and I had no issues with them falling off. Overall they seem to be doing their job very well.
