Revised after opening the bug. As it turns out, the bottom brackets can come loose and the fan will swing back up the hill and hit the water pump pulley. This caused the pulley to wear due to the insulation of the power cable and short circuiting it, resulting in the failure of the fan. So the failure wasn't the fan's fault, it was the fault of the installer (me). As long as it didn't fail it worked pretty well, I don't think it was quite adequate for my motor (I think it really needed a 17" fan) but it would be fine if the mount didn't break . .Well it started well enough, basically cooling the engine and giving me hope that my days of overheating were over. Then I took it on a long ride (about 2 hours) and the engine burned out. A 30 amp -Fuse blown and let everything smoke magically from the fan motor. Sorry, but the fan motor must be able to withstand high temperatures and continuous operation. This one didn't do either. Installed on a '97 Wrangler with a 4.0L engine.
