Works with UVerse: TV & Video

The documentation sucks (really hard to find) but the device seems to work. Installed hardware on my Uverse box in about 5 minutes. Very easy. The software took an hour. Following the 1 line instruction, he went to the Belkin website, found "PC Software" and tried to download it. The link didn't work. I called Belkin and after getting lots of information (name, phone number, email) from me, the support rep said he couldn't help me but I need to IM them on their website and THIS person will give me the link I did that, got the link to the right software and downloaded it. This software quickly recognized @TV but told me we needed a "firmware update". I said fine. This update failed. I disconnected and reconnected @TV to restart it and after about 10 minutes it worked. Information was not included in the sales literature: @TV includes an IR blaster, which is an infrared light that you place in front of your set-top box. When you set up the software on your PC (or Mac), tell it what cable channel and set-top box you're using. Then when you're away, @TV can turn on your set-top box, change channels, access your DVR, and so on. All of this really works. There's an iPhone app, but it costs $13. I figured if I ever checked I'd use my iPad, so I decided to buy an app for it. But the iPad app is free! Weird.Remote: - I was using my iPhone as a Wi-Fi hub with a very strong LTE signal (over 20Mbps up and down). But my iPad (with an iPhone hub) doesn't connect to the @TV-Box. However, when I connect my iPad to Wi-Fi, it works! I use Uverse and AT&T might be blocking LTE signals or something. I finally found a proper guide that describes "port forwarding" and specifies which ports should be open. I've done this before for an IP/network camera and will try to avoid it.
