I have bought shoes up a size following advice from several reviewers but the shoes still do not fit. Although they are now more than long enough, they are "short". His instep is still quite big because he has chubby baby feet and the shoes just don't fit. I think this shoe is geared towards older kids with small feet but more of an adult instep. I'll keep the shoes (since they're at least an inch longer than his feet) and see if they fit in a year, assuming his feet get longer but not "bigger". Update: We tried again a few months later when it started to fit into other sevens and still didn't work. The shoes are definitely long enough but his poor toes won out. Do not go past the base of the tongue. I am very very disappointed. And now I can't get her back. boo
