Originally purchased for use on stage with a band. Allowed us to plug into an outlet and run the cord through the front of the stage providing an outlet for everyone. I've since received a few more for use in the garage. Great if you have a project that requires multiple tools in different locations. This thing is well built and each plug lights up to let you know you have power.
