We are now in a world of mixed use of USB-A and USB-C. Most high-end electronics, smartphones, etc. work with USB-C, while many smaller or cheaper devices still use USB-A, allowing you to reduce cable clutter and eliminate the need for both types of cables. Adapters work great. They are made of strong and durable material and do their job perfectly. They're a bit wide, but that doesn't bother me. However, if your device/computer has USB ports close together, be aware. Otherwise I can recommend this adapter without any problems. You are of great value.
