Review on Continental ContiPremiumContact 5 205/55 R16 91H summer by Janis Kronbergs ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I really like the product, it fully meets my expectations.

I maintained a speed of 140-170 kilometers per hour while driving along the highway in a Skoda Octavia 1.8TSI with 205/55 R16 tires, which has 200 horsepower and 290 Newton-meters of torque. I accelerated on this rubber and drove for forty minutes at a speed of 230-245 kilometers per hour; the rubber functioned flawlessly; there was not the slightest suggestion of self-will; all steering actions, braking, even severe braking to 110 kilometers per hour operated with a bang. In terms of grip and trajectory retention, this is, by and large, the greatest rubber I have ever rode. However, there is no such thing as a flawless solution, as any and all noise, bumps, and joints are transmitted to the suspension.

Pros
  • 1) Relentless when applying the brakes 2) After a brief warm-up, there will be an emphasis on grip and information. 3) The amount of wear is acceptable; after one year, the amount of wear is approximately 1 mm, and I drive quickly. 4) You are not allowed to aquaplane, even in large puddles, and you must use the same amount of braking and acceleration in the rain as you would on dry pavement, otherwise you will start to scorch.
Cons
  • 1) When the temperature is below +10, you have to warm it up a little bit because else the axle box would appear. However, by 5 plus, it will slow down even if you don't warm it up. 2) The amount of noise grows linearly with speed after 60 kilometers per hour (in comparison, the Winter Velcro Michelin X-Ice is completely silent), however considering the hook, the noise may be overlooked. 3) Rough, all joints and small abnormalities can be felt on the steering wheel to a moderate yet noticeable degree.
