The scissors are beautiful and cut nails well. And that's all the good I can say about her. They do not work as well as advertised for cuticles, hangnails, or trimming toenails, ingrown toenails, or trimming the corners of large toenails. and burrs to the extent that they are worse than before the scissors were used. The blades aren't thin enough to really get between the nail and skin to remove the burr. They just don't cut them at all. As for the cuticle, maneuverability was an issue. You can cut out some but not all, leaving you semi-finished and uneven. The grip rings are too small to provide adequate maneuverability and an angled grip to get the job done. They don't open and close smoothly, especially with the non-dominant hand. Don't worry if you use them on your feet. I keep my toenails very short and they don't even grab the nail, but thought I could use them to make sure I don't have any sharp edges on the corners of my nails and have a nice even cut, especially on the big toes , where the corners are at an odd angle and difficult to reach with traditional clippers. I ended up with two bloody toes on one foot. Oh! Suggestions for improvement: 1) Much longer grip loops for at least two fingers. It's best if all four fingers fit like regular scissors for complete control. close gently and effortlessly. Maybe even a longer version (much longer handles) for those with reach issues. If a pro did your nails for you maybe they could work but for your own nails and for my needs these just failed miserably. I'm debating whether to return them or keep them just to clip my nails. The decision has not been made yet.
