I've never used one of these rulers, I've only ever looked at it or used a regular ruler for designs where placement was important. They make work a lot easier. They come in a plain plastic bag. The plastic is strong enough, but not so thin that it becomes flexible and not so thick that it becomes inflexible. One of the rounded edges is jagged and not entirely smooth, but I found it easy to cut off a small piece of plastic in a burr pattern. Neck holes vary slightly from certain manufacturers' holes, but generally fit a variety of sizes. An inexpensive way to make your job easier.
