I'm definitely a beginner as I've never done anything like this with my nails. I have had my nails painted and painted my own nails but the instructions that came with it were very easy to follow. It gives you step-by-step instructions on how and what to do. The only thing I had to buy extra was the nail stickers as I didn't want fake gel nails. This kit really has everything you need to create a manicure from start to finish. All the tools are very professional but be careful with the nail file. The edges were paper sharp and I ended up cutting the paper. Apart from the first time I hurt myself, I haven't hurt myself since. The good thing is that if your nail looks a little uneven after the gel dries, you can simply file it and buff it to a smooth finish. Another thing I love about this set is that I don't have to paint my nails if I don't want to. Includes base and top for my nails. I can just apply the gel and then apply the top coat and that's it. The gel colors that come with the kit are so pretty and I usually use them to color my nails anyway. Definitely a great starter kit.
