Well I haven't used a screen protector in a long time but when I ordered my Pixel 5 I decided that with a metal/plastic body I could go without a case. But then I read that the improvements in Gorilla Glass are aimed at shatter protection, but not at improving scratch resistance. So I did a little research and ordered this screen protector and I'm glad I did. Installation was pretty easy with the included installation template. I remember how difficult it was to place the screen protector correctly using the hinge, but it was very easy to place using its template. The camera cutout is right in the middle. It took me a while to get rid of the bubbles, but after a few minutes I had a bubble-free screen protector. It has far fewer fingerprints and smudges than the original glass screen. It also feels exceptionally smooth and, as far as I can tell, hasn't compromised touch sensitivity or clarity in any way. Yes, it will pick up dust around the edges, especially if you're using a case, but I guess that's inevitable with screen protectors. I still have two extra protectors so I doubt I'll ever need to buy more for this phone. I can't tell if other screen protectors are better or worse, but I don't think you will be disappointed if you buy this one.
