I don't know how it works but after installing it my screen actually looks much clearer and cleaner, even better than new. The best advice is to give the screen a thorough cleaning as directed, use the suction cup as recommended and be careful when applying pressure. Many reviews say they broke the screen. After installation I had two medium sized air bubbles. I used the small rag from the kit (not just my fingers) to slowly squeeze the bubbles out. Don't be discouraged, be patient, it took me about 20 minutes to slowly squeeze my bubbles out. I did this in a very warm closed garage to speed up the process. In the end everything fits and looks perfect!
