I found this bowl after using the ladle bowl for years and then my daughter outgrew the bowl. I've bought other bowl/plate options but the suction just didn't work. My daughter is disabled so she needs something permanent with a lip to spread her food on the spoon before putting it in her mouth. The key to all of this is keeping the bowl in place. It absolutely does the trick! The carpet doesn't move while my daughter eats. The bowl is big enough for their food. I love that the mat also makes clean up easier because when food falls off the spoon it usually lands on the mat. And the carpet is very easy to care for! I'm so glad I tried this bowl/mat. When the bowl/pad first arrived I thought I would be bothered by the fact that the bowl and pad are one piece (rather than the bowl and pad being separate), but now I love it. Makes cleaning even easier and faster.
