My original key fob for my 2007 Impala is almost dead. I bought it last year and kept it handy. The instructions were easy to follow. My only issue is that I was only able to program 1 of the key fobs. However, the one I was able to program successfully controlled all functions including the doors, trunk, auto start and at the same fairly large distance as the original key fob. A few tips (1). Make sure your key fob is compatible with your car. (2) If your car's electrical system still allows you to manually lock the doors without a key fob, you should be in good shape without paying an arm and a leg against the dealer who says your car has more problems as he. Definitely economical way.
