Installation was very easy. If you follow the instructions and have the right tools, it only takes about 30 minutes, even without mechanical knowledge. The only problem so far is that the vacuum hose that connects to the opposite end of the filter has sometimes come loose. I solved it by doing two things; First thing to do was make sure the air intake was properly attached to the anti-vibration grommet and secure with a small hose clamp to hold the hose in place. Installed on Mitsubishi Eclipse GT 3.0 V6 2000 Release. Overall very happy with the performance so far. PS, you will only notice a real difference in power/noise at the higher revs of 3000+ rpm. Speaking of extra noise, your engine sounds deeper and more powerful when you crank it up to high RPM. How you feel about your car is up to you, but there's no harm in opening it up every once in a while. Just be responsible and good luck with your purchase and installation!
