Review on 🎧 Zalman ZM-MIC1 High Sensitivity 3.5mm Jack Headphone Microphone with Mini Clip for Computer PC Streaming and Gaming by Jermaine Logan

Great microphone, be careful - the cable is too thin!

This microphone delivers excellent directional sound while being very light. I ended up hooking it up to my Sony MDR-v6 studio headphones as a video game microphone. I love my headphones so I didn't feel like I needed a full headset and just a mic for a few games. The microphone itself has very high sound quality, but the direction it was pointed was very important. . I ended up having to place it fairly high on the headphone cord so it was close enough to my mouth to pick up good audio, rather than the audio coming from my air conditioner, computer, or the kids in the hallway. Unfortunately, the downside I found with this mic is that the cable is MUCH thin and MUCH long. This had the benefit of being able to place it where you wanted it, but it was very easy to get tangled in the cord or, in my case, I accidentally bumped into it with my computer chair. once. and because the cable is thin, it broke the cable inside. I know this technically qualifies as "abuse" but I was hoping this would stop something more than one wheel running over it. There was no outward sign that the cable was broken, but when you plug it in it doesn't beep. them for another project and found them to integrate well with my computer setup) but if I take one of these for more portable use with my laptop I think I'll end up using a coiled headphone cable to connect the microphone to protect cable to try to avoid the thin cable trap. All in all, given the incredibly low price, this is a really good mic. I might even buy another one to use as a makeshift lavalier mic for mobile video production. if i need it in the future.
