I have a MacBook Pro M1 and an iPad Pro M1. After connecting this HDMI to USB-C adapter to my Mac and LG 4k 60hz monitor, it works at 60hz first. Then I add the iPad Pro Sidecar as a third display. When I unplug Sidecar from the iPad, the monitor connected to that adapter also turns off and rarely wakes up ever since, and only when Sidecar is on. When I'm not using my iPad together, there's no signal at all. I don't have this issue with my other cable and HDMI USB-C adapter. I've been using a Mac and iPad for 7 years and this Mac was freshly installed so it's not a newbie problem. Pay attention to the problem. Update July 27, 2021 Support contacted me and they were friendly and eager to resolve the issue. I think either the product I received was defective or the product had a design flaw. Anyway, I sent the hub back. Any future buyer can still try this product if you are on a budget.
