Review on πŸ”₯ Lodge LSRG3 10.5-Inch Cast Iron Reversible Grill/Griddle: Enhanced Single-Burner Cooking Experience by Keith Morris

Revainrating 5 out of 5

A staple in my kitchen.

This single burner reversible grill/pan is ideal for preparing a variety of dishes and is easy to clean. Whether you're making bacon, burgers, eggs, pancakes, steaks, chicken or just tacos, this cast iron grill/pan is perfect for you. It also makes excellent toasted sandwiches. It distributes heat evenly and is the perfect size to feed two or more people, depending on what you're cooking. The fact that this is a single burner product is priceless to me. It doesn't take up much space and even looks weird standing on my kitchen stove when not in use. My friends love it and I always tell them that this cast iron grill/pan is priceless for something that can last forever if taken care of. Although it's heavy, you probably won't need to move it much. . I always leave mine on the stove and only heat it when necessary. I rarely have to move it to clean as I can often just wipe it down to remove food residue. If more thorough cleaning is required, warm water will help. The only aspect of this cast-iron appliance that I have the slightest gripe with is that when cooking foods that contain juice or fat (like bacon or steak) there isn't an easy way to pour them out. This grill/pan is difficult to move when hot (every time I move mine I have to hold it level with two hands which means two oven mitts when hot) and there is no drain when pouring liquids or paths for pouring liquids. easily removed without dripping and running down the bottom of the grill/pan. For this reason, I often use my Lodge 10.5-inch cast iron skillet when cooking bacon. That's because I save the bacon grease for cooking later, and the Lodge pan has a handy spout that I can use to pour the bacon grease into the pan. Container. If I hadn't used bacon fat later, I wouldn't have to switch to a cast iron bacon pan. dock all stars as part of this rating. The grill/pan is advertised as pre-seasoned and is well received. However, I've found that my cast iron works better and doesn't stick if I put seasoning over it. To do this, I do the following: Preheat the oven to 450 degrees.Clothes and then place on the stovetop. Turn on the burner and let the remaining moisture evaporate. Wipe down all cast iron. Product with oil (I use rapeseed oil and it works very well). This includes the interior, the exterior and the handle. Then wipe off as much oil residue as possible. It might look like you're wiping all the oil off, but that's not the case. Cast iron still seasons well, but if you leave too much oil on the cast iron it will become sticky and stick together during the baking/polymerisation process and may drip off your cast iron while baking). - Turn the cast iron upside down (for this grill/pan I put the grate down) and bake at 450 degrees for 1 hour (this time and heat allows the oil to polymerize and become slippery, giving the cast iron non-stick properties). Take out and let cool. Spring. You don't have to do this whole process often, maybe once or twice every few months after the initial seasoning. The cast iron will continue to pick up layers of spice as you cook with it, so cook with it more often! All in all, this Lodge Cast Iron Rotating Grill/SautΓ© Pan is a fantastic purchase and a great tool for your kitchen. If you enjoy cooking with a great product that makes delicious food, this cast iron product is for you.
