Review on ⏰ Sony ICFC414 Clock Radio - Limited Availability, Perfect for Home and Office Use by Amy Bernabe

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Finally some dim light for the night!

This is the fourth watch I have bought. Everyone used to have such a bright light that I had to cover the clock with a cloth because it lit up the whole room like a night light. 20 and it had the faintest light when set low. Bought from Revain for $8 less. I like the plexiglass front panel. I like big numbers. Changing the alarm clock is very easy if you know which buttons to press. (It took me about half an hour to set the clock, set the alarm, and sort things out.) The "buzzer," which is actually a pathetic beeping, would only be useful if the clock was right next to your head . So I set it to Vivaldi's "Melody". (Reminds me of a ringing cell phone.) Both alarms are difficult to hear, and there's no way to turn them up. (It doesn't bother me, I like it when I'm not disturbed by a deep sleep.) I pressed and held the Daylight Saving Time button to disable this feature. I will change the time on the clock whenever I want, thank you very much. I set mountain standard time and it was 1 minute faster. It took me about 5 minutes to figure out how to fix this. I turned off all the lights and saw that the green numbers were still a bit brighter than my husband's red watch. So I took a piece of parchment paper, cut it and attached it to the clock. Excellent. I don't listen to the radio with this watch, so I'm not reviewing this feature. So I finally have a flimsy watch that doesn't blind me at night, a quiet alarm that doesn't give me a heart attack when it rings, and a big watch that I don't have to hold with both hands to change my alarm. A+
