I have 2 old 19 inch monitors that I wanted to add to my I7 desktop. The desktop computer has integrated Intel graphics with two display ports connected to two 24-inch displays. My research has shown that Intel graphics only support up to 3 monitors with an MST device with Displayport. Then I found the Wavlink device. I made connections using HDMI cables (which use HDMI/DVI adapters). Windows picked up the hardware and installed the necessary drivers. After a few seconds, the 3rd display became active. I had problems with the 4th monitor (the input signal was out of range) and there was no picture. After examining the Wavlink adapter's resolution and refresh rate, I found that they matched my monitor's specs. After I disconnected and reconnected the HDMI connection, the 4th display became active. No additional drivers or software required.
