Many reviews of previous models say the screen doesn't stay attached to the bottom of the box. This model reportedly has an improved design. Well, it took a week for the bottom screen to come off. There really is no such thing as a secure bond; The screen simply rests between two plastic protrusions on the bottom. I drilled some small holes in the bottom and pulled the screen down. See photo. The holes are so small that very little, if any, dirt gets through the floor. Trust me, do this BEFORE you use the box, not after it gets dirty. The rest of the concept works well. One of our cats uses it and the other doesn't. However, they are old and used to their way of life. Even in a large model there is not much space for cats. About a third of the inner part is occupied by a screened area and is inaccessible to cats. It takes quite a bit of room to roll something up above vertical to sift out debris. "Chrome" plastic fasteners with a shiny surface. . No metal Would I buy it again? Yes, perhaps. But it really needs to be designed a little bit better.
