WOW these Christmas lights are AMAZING! We threw away our old obsolete lanterns last year after we ran out of spare bulbs and couldn't get the filaments to burn to their full length. I received two packs of these new LED strands and LOVE them! They stay ice cold, so I'm not worried about the house burning down if we leave them on overnight. something that would pose a real threat with our old lamps, which always got very hot. I also really like how the wires are shiny and crystal clear even in these new ones. The wires themselves are very decorative! This makes them much prettier than the old opaque green or white plastic-coated wire flashlights, which frankly aren't very pretty. We found these lights to be very bright and to enjoy the various programmable flicker modes (although the lights stay "solid on" most of the time). The only potential limitation is that the other end of each strand (at the end not connected to the wall) has a proprietary connection (not a traditional two-pronged electrical connector) so it can only be connected (extended) to other lightweights strands. that particular brand/series. Maybe the manufacturer does that, because that's the only way the signals of programmable flashing modes work on all connected threads? This is just a guess. In any case, I would only take a few of these threads if I took it upon myself to standardize these lights.
