I think I should start by saying "Never trust a review from day one" and I'd be right, but either way. I bought this device because of the remote control. It's connected to Alexa and our TV in the living room. After switching devices, I had to get up to adjust the volume and/or get up again to switch inputs. You can imagine my disappointment when I discovered that there was no battery in the remote control for this device when I opened the box. In addition, neither the Internet nor the minimalist operating instructions mention which type of battery is required. I should dock it a star or two for that omission, but the remote's missing battery isn't a design or operational flaw and likely won't affect anyone. After finding the right battery, I found the perfect little amp for my needs, so five stars. Perfomance? Enough to fill my 1200 square foot apartment, and then some. No distortion, no background noise? I don't have the equipment for it other than my ears, but I used to work as a radio technician and my ears are happy. And here's everything else: it's remarkably small, beautiful, the backlight isn't very good. obsessive and his remote work. This, combined with satisfying performance, is good enough for me. And good enough for five stars.
