I use this wax in combination with Smooth Viking Hold Cream (High Hold + Matte) to create a hairstyle between side parting and tousled. I have medium short hair, about 1 inch long (mostly #8 when I use clippers) so my hair is a bit too long for gel styling but still short enough to withstand even medium hold creams. Smooth Viking Creme is a bit cheaper in volume and has a matte finish so I start styling my hair with this product and then apply Paul Mitchell wax to the front of the comb. use wax. The length and hairstyle will likely vary depending on the amount you need to use, but start with less than a pinch if you're using it for the first time. I love that this wax stays flexible all day so if my hair is frizzy I can run my fingers through it to fix it. Only complaint is that it stays sticky/greasy all day, it catches also slightly airborne dust (or pet hair if you have pets) in the air. For this reason, and because it's slightly shiny, I wouldn't use this product on all my hair.
