Review on πŸ‘£ Teva Women's Omnium Fisherman Sandal - Optimal for Women's Footwear by Mike Walters

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Phenomenal bow support!

I just got these Teva sandals and I'm still testing them at home so can't comment on the comfort for long hikes or the durability. So four stars instead of five. But if you're desperate for a hiking sandal with solid arch support, this could be the one for you. I have to wear either custom orthotics or Vionic sandals/shoes to avoid foot pain due to overpronation and flat feet. This presents a problem with hiking sandals as Vionic doesn't make them, other hiking sandals offer minimal arch support, and the only hiking sandal I've found that has a removable insole that can accept an orthopedic insole (Keen Arroyo II) rubs my feet . As another reviewer noted, this Teva has "insane" bow support. The toe box is very large which is great for my bursitis. The heel holds up well, so the roomy toe box doesn't make the sandal look too big. There are three adjustments: regular bungee lacing, a quick-release toe buckle strap, and a heel loop/velcro strap that allow for adjustment to a variety of foot types. However, for me there is a downside. The bungee lacing doesn't feel like a bungee (no big deal), and the button to adjust the lacing is very difficult to press with my arthritic fingers. However, I ended up doing it and I can slip these sandals on and off without adjusting the laces. Fine, otherwise it would be a killer for me. So far I'm very happy to have found a hiking sandal with phenomenal arch support. Thank you Teva!
