Review on Classic Clear Salt and Pepper Shakers: Golden Harvest Ball Mason Jar Glass, Pack of 2 by Russell Wong

Revainrating 5 out of 5

These are my favorite salt and pepper shakers!

Our family had a lot of salt and pepper shakers. We tried glass, ceramic, plastic and silicone. None of them lasted very long, as they tend to clog up with salt too easily over time and become impossible to clean. This does not apply to these Mason Jar Shakers from Golden Harvest. You will receive two packs of these Mason Jar Salt and Pepper Shakers. One is for salt, the other for pepper. Unlike other brands of salt and pepper shakers, these shakers have the same number of holes for both shakers, allowing you to get plenty of salt and pepper out of the shakers. Although each shaker has a multitude of holes, these shakers should not be poured too quickly. The holes are just the right size to control pouring speed so you don't pepper or salt your food. They don't attract moisture like some other brands do, preventing clogging. Each of these salt and pepper shakers holds four ounces. They have a handle large enough for adult hands to hold comfortably. They look like mini mason jars and suit any style of kitchen. The shakers are made of glass and the lid is made of plastic. You can also use these shakers for other spices. We have a second set that we use for the cinnamon sugar and garlic salt. I love that the shakers are transparent so you can not only see what spice is in it, but also see when you're running out of that spice. They clean very well. The lids are easy to clean with Dawn soap and water. The opening of the shaker is large enough to be cleaned with a cloth. Then I turn it upside down on a towel until it's completely dry. Although these shakers are made of glass, they are not too fragile. I dropped the salt shaker on the granite kitchen counter a few times and on the kitchen floor once. Despite the fact that there's a mess if you drop it because the spices squirt out, the shaker didn't break, which is nice. After all, these are the best salt and pepper shakers we've ever had. They have the right number of holes, are easy to pour and easy to clean.
